SME Feedback Workshop on the Chips Act 2.0

On 14 October 2026 the Enterprise Europe Network Sector Group Electronics, together with the European Commission, invites small and medium-sized enterprises to an online exchange on the proposed Chips Act 2.0 as part of the European Commission’s Tech Sovereignty Package. 

The workshop is aimed in particular at SMEs across the semiconductor and electronics value chain. It will focus on how the current draft of the Chips Act 2.0 may affect SMEs. Representatives of the European Commission will present the main objectives and key elements of the draft. Participating companies will then have the opportunity to share their practical experience, expectations and recommendations. 

Topics will include: 

• the role of SMEs in Europe’s semiconductor and electronics ecosystem
• access to support instruments, pilot lines, infrastructures, competence centres and EU programmes
• possible administrative burdens and access barriers
• the inclusion of different actors across the value chain
• recommendations for the further legislative process. 

The workshop is designed as an interactive dialogue. In addition to a presentation by DG CONNECT, the programme includes a Q&A session and a structured feedback round with companies and members of the EEN Sector Group Electronics. 

The feedback collected will help ensure that SME perspectives and operational realities are better reflected in the further development of the Chips Act 2.0. 

Target group: Small and medium-sized enterprises and other stakeholders active in semiconductors, microelectronics and electronics, including suppliers, equipment manufacturers, design companies, testing and packaging providers, component manufacturers and industrial users.
